Sweetest family ever!

I just adore this family. They couldn’t be any sweeter if they tried. The girls have always run up

and hugged me, the Mom is one of my sweetest friends…I could go on and on. I just love them!

It took some work, but we finally found a spot on the ground without ants

This is hands down my favorite shot of the night. I just am in love with this shot. Not because I

took it, but because of the way he is adoringly looking at her, and their grand babies in

the back ground. While we we shooting this part of the session, she was telling me about

how they just celebrated a milestone anniversary. It is an accomplishment of which to be very proud.

The legacy they are leaving their children, and children’s children is invaluable.

I just think this picture says it all, and I love that.

This one is my favorite close up, I think? Oh, I can’t decide…

I LOVE photographing seniors. It’s such an exciting time in their lives. I feel so honored

when I’m a part of it. The end of one chapter, the beginning of another.

They are standing on the edge of adulthood. It’s fun to see the excitement in their eyes as they await all the

events that the end of a Senior year holds, prom, parties, graduation…..

Of course this stunning young lady didn’t go to Prom alone! I had to show one of her date, too

So excited for you, BB!

(btw, all of these we taken in their yard! We were short on time. It worked our well. I am so thrilled with the results. Nothing fancy…just concentrating on this stunning lady instead of location.)

We had to reschedule a few times because of the weather, but we finally got their session in! Sweetest kids, sweetest Mom…I had a GREAT time hanging out with them. So full of personality.

Late Merry Christmas

Well, I know everyone is shocked that I’m just now posting a Christmas shoot with my own children I’m just so happy I got it done, only two months late. Every year, at Christmas time, we make a cake, sing happy birthday and have a little party for Jesus. It helps us all remember why we’re really even having Christmas. The kids love it. This year we did it up a little more than we usually do for our shoot. I would have liked it to be a little more elaborate, but time wasn’t on my side, so I figured this would be good enough. And anyway, it’s not supposed to be about fancy, it’s supposed to be about celebrating the birth of Jesus. We had a wonderful Christmas spending time together…hope you did, too.

She just wanted to dance at this party….

She just wanted to be cheesy, so finally I gave up the fight and said, fine, be as dorky as you want to be, but these will be on the blog… I thought that would stop her, but it didn’t.

I have finally got around to the film from my Nephew’s visit.

With family, I just get to it when I can…this year I vow to do better.

I’m already off to a good start.

I can’t decide which one is my favorite.

I have many more of this cuteness, but I haven’t shared with my sissy yet…

We did the whole session in my Mom’s backyard, nothing fancy, just looked for

good light and really enjoyed spending time with this little man.

We’re back…almost

Oh, this poor, neglected blog!

After a much needed Christmas break and a little time to focus on my family,

I’ll be back to work tomorrow.

Can’t wait for everything 2012 holds!

Samaritan’s Purse

Part of the proceeds from our Christmas Mini-sessions went toward Samaritan’s Purse. Thanks to the mini-sessions, we were able to stuff and send 8 shoe boxes, 2 for girls, 6 for boys. I almost feel a little guilty for doing it, because our family gets so much enjoyment from this project. Check out their site, if you haven’t already. Just want you to know where some of your money went this year

Forgive the quality, it was taken with my camera phone. Sometimes I don’t feel like carrying the big camera around.

It’s exciting to see all those boxes, and know that so many boys and girls are going to have them for Christmas.

My Nephews’ newborn session was done months ago,

but I’ve just now had the time to edit them. I LOVE how they turned out.
